I am a trainee solicitor at Perilli & Ho Solicitors with a previous career in capital markets and investment banking and I help clients navigate complex corporate and regulatory issues with the combined perspective of a former front‑office trader and a developing legal practitioner. I particularly enjoy working with founders, boards and senior management teams who value clear, commercially grounded advice that aligns legal risk with real‑world business objectives.
Before moving into law, I spent over a decade in London, Hong Kong and Singapore in fixed income trading, sales and product leadership roles at global institutions including Barclays Capital, Dresdner Kleinwort, Jefferies, Newedge and CME Group. I managed European government bond trading books, led interest rate product strategy for Asia, and regularly engaged with C‑suite executives, regulators and central banks on market structure, governance and regulatory change. This gave me a deep understanding of how strategic decisions are made in financial institutions, how risk is actually managed day‑to‑day and what boards and senior leadership need from their advisers.
My legal journey began when I decided to formalise that experience and retrain as a solicitor of England and Wales, completing the GDL and LPC/LLM with distinction and focusing on business law, banking and debt finance, public companies, and mergers and acquisitions. I now apply that sector knowledge as a trainee solicitor, supporting colleagues on matters involving corporate governance, compliance, due diligence and risk management, and helping to translate technical legal issues into practical next steps for clients.
With a background in computer engineering, I am comfortable working at the intersection of technology, finance and law, whether that involves understanding trading and risk systems, data flows or the implications of new regulation on business models. I enjoy dissecting complex problems, building structured solutions and using automation and process improvements where appropriate to deliver work more efficiently for clients and the team.
Having lived and worked in multiple financial centres, I bring an international outlook and cultural fluency to cross‑border matters and internationally focused clients. Whether I am assisting on a transaction, researching a novel point or preparing for a client meeting, my aim is to combine technical accuracy with commercial insight so that clients feel understood, supported and confident in the decisions they are making.
